System design
The art of solar engineering and design is the heart of the current boom in solar technology. While spurred on by climate change concerns and government incentives, there is a mature industry with a long track record of success in a variety of installations.
I recommend that clients take care to fully understand the nature of the solar design process, for it is the combination of products and services accounting for the unique needs of each project that determines success. The hallmarks of successful projects include careful analysis of current energy usage, “energy audit walk”, physical plant analysis, custom designed engineering plan, compliance and rebates, implementation of approved plans (includes monitoring installation and testing) and maximizing efficiency.
